So the rush of the holiday season is over.  Now what?  Now we look for ways to enjoy the cooler temperatures in the upstate.  And Greenville has plenty of ways to stay warm (and safe) this February.

To slowly get back into the restaurant scene, we suggest dining outside.  It’s cold you say?  Have no fear some of our favorite restaurants are making strides to keep you toasty while you enjoy your food.  Soby’s, Passerelle, Pomegranate, and the Anchorage all have outdoPatio dining at night under twinkle light trees.or seating and heaters.  If you are having trouble deciding on just one place to eat, you can check out GatherGVL, The Commons, or Hampton Station.  All have a variety of dining choices, tables to sit outside, and firepits or heaters.  Just wandering through and deciding what you want is enough to work up an appetite. And because Greenville is just that great, there are even more restaurants that are looking out for you.  Be sure to check out your favorite restaurant’s website for the most up to date information.

Now to bundle up and see that the great outdoors of the Upstate offers plenty of activities to get your blood flowing.  There’s the Swamp Rabbit Trail for biking (try one of the new electric bikes from Reedy River Rentals, running, or geocaching.  You could check out the hiking trails at Paris Mountain, Jones Gap, or Table Rock State Parks.  But for a truly panoramic view you can go to Caesar’s Head State Park.  With miles of trails, scenic views, the Middle Saluda River, as well as Raven Cliff Falls, you’re sure to be occupied all day.  If you prefer your nature experiences a little less “hands on”, you Water falling over rocks with greenerycan always take a pontoon boat tour around Lake Jocassee, call Whispering Winds Carriage Rides and reserve your private romantic tour of Downtown Greenville (let us know and we’ll hook you up with some to go hot chocolate and a blanket to cuddle under), or even a car ride to on Scenic Highway 11 to Wildcat Wayside, a roadside stop with views of the Wildcat Branch Falls.

And if it’s just too cold for outside adventures – visit some of our great antique stores and look for the perfect treasure, tour the Greenville History Museum or Music Museum, or try Top Golf with their 70-climate controlled outdoor hitting bays.  Their unique blend of pinball and golf makes for an entertaining afternoon.

If all of this sounds lovely to you, but you just want to stay in and relax we can help with that too!  We have our beautiful new firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs.  Help yourselves to the limitless coffee and cookies or call your favorite delivery service to order dinner from one Greenville’s 100plus restaurants!
